Drs. Rebecca Allen, Jim Hamilton, and Matt Jarrett, along with psychologists and social workers across campus, received a $1.1 million grant from HRSA entitled, “Deep South Comprehensive Graduate Psychology Training Pipeline: Substance and Opioid Use (SUD/OUD) Assessment and Brief Treatment”
A partnership between four colleges, Whatley Health Services, and Capstone Rural Health Center, this training grant addresses the mental health provider shortage in West Alabama with a focus on substance use disorder and opioid use disorder by expanding and enhancing integrated, inter-professional behavioral health training within the clinical psychology graduate training program.
