Rebecca Revilla Selected as Fellow for the LEAD Institute

Our own Rebecca Revilla has been selected as a fellow for the Society of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology (SCCAP/APA Division 53) Leadership Education to Advance Diversity (LEAD) Institute! The LEAD Institute Fellow Award recognizes demonstrated commitment to leadership while providing new training and networking opportunities to promote potential future leaders within SCCAP.  As Dr. Erlanger Turner, Chair of the SCCAP Diversity Committee, noted: “We received a large number of competitive applications this year and we found your application clearly captured the essence of leadership we aspire to foster in SCCAP.”

The goal of LEAD is to provide professional development, networking, and leadership skills for graduate students and early career professionals (ECP’s) from diverse groups (e.g., ethnic and racial, sexual and gender diversity, individuals with a disability). It includes a 2-day leadership institute that will include invited guest speakers who will address topics such as: leadership skills, cultural sensitivity in practice, tips on publishing, and engaging in media psychology.

Way to go, Rebecca!
