Katie is a clinical geropsychology student (and UA alumna!) working with Drs. Patricia Parmelee and Michelle Hilgeman. Before returning to UA, she earned a master’s degree in public health (MPH) from Indiana University’s Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health. Her past research has explored the interrelations of physical and mental health, with an emphasis on chronic illness in older adults. She is currently interested in the application of community-based programming to improve the quality of life of older adults.
