Bio

Liz is a fourth year doctoral student in the clinical psychology program at The University of Alabama, concentrating on psychology and law. Within Dr. Jennifer Cox’s research lab, Liz focuses on decision-making in the legal system (e.g., defendant plea-bargaining, prosecutor case processing). She is specifically interested in researching gender role norms, human trafficking, and sex work in the context of the legal system. Clinically, Liz has provided services at forensic institutions and programs such as Taylor Hardin Secure Medical Facility and Working on Womanhood. In June 2020, Liz received certification in Crisis Intervention Team training alongside law enforcement officers. Outside of the lab, Liz enjoys dark chocolate, fantasy books, and any activity involving friends!
