Bio

Allison is a fifth-year graduate student working with Dr. Theodore Tomeny. Allison completed her BA in psychological science at Gustavus Adolphus College in 2017 and completed a 2-year postbaccalaureate research coordinator position at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. She is broadly interested in identifying and addressing the individual and interpersonal factors (e.g., peer stigma of autism, social camouflaging, the Double Empathy Problem) that affect the quality and effectiveness of social interactions between autistic and non-autistic people across the lifespan. In addition to psychology research, Allison enjoys hiking, traveling, reading, dancing, cooking, and hammocking.
