Graduate Student Danielle McDuffie Wins Two Poster Awards

Graduate student Danielle McDuffie has won two impressive poster awards with her project, “Manifestations of Racial Trauma in Bereaved Middle to Older Aged Black Adults.” Her work earned the Emerging Scholar and Profession Organization Poster Award. This award is given to students showcasing exemplary original research. She also received the Minority Issues in Gerontology Advisory Panel Student Poster Award. This award recognizes GSA ESPO members from underrepresented racial and ethnic groups for original and innovative research. Applicants must be the first author of the submitted work. Review criteria includes the overall contribution to aging research, originality, a theoretical framework and rationale, methods, discussion, and clarity of the poster. Way to go Danielle!
