Jenni Cox Receives Grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF)

This 2-year, $284K-project, funded by NSF’s Law and Social Sciences Program, is entitled, “Implicit biases and discretionary prosecutorial decision making.” Although much research has focused on how jurors can be influenced by various factors, very little focuses on how prosecutors can be influenced. Yet prosecutors are highly powerful agents in the legal system. Jenni’s project focuses on prosecutor bias related to gender roles and sexual orientation in the context of intimate partner violence cases.

CONGRATS, DR. COX!
