Graduate Admissions

Each year, the Psychology Department reviews applications for the Clinical Psychology and Experimental Psychology programs. The Clinical Psychology program seeks an incoming class of 12-15 students per year, and the Experimental Psychology program seeks an incoming class of 8-12 students per year. Both programs admit new students to begin in August.

Ordinarily, full-time enrollment is required, and at the present time, we do not offer on-line or distance courses at the graduate level. Admission is competitive and is influenced by the overall quality of the applicant's record, including grades, GRE scores, letters of recommendation, research experience, and clinical experience. The Department is committed to recruiting and training students of color and students with disabilities.

Please note that we do not have terminal master's programs. Students may apply to our PhD programs with either the BA/BS or MA/MS.

If you are a prospective student, we invite you to spend a little time here in our website getting to know our programs. Also, please feel free to contact us to help you decide if one of our programs might be right for you.
