Marie Moore, M.A.

Marie is interested in cognition and emotion in developmental disabilities. Her dissertation focuses on emotion recognition in Down syndrome. She works with Dr. Fran Conners and Dr. Joan Barth.

 

Megan Benson, M.A.

Megan is a 5th year student interested in cognition and intervention in Down syndrome. Her current work is on wayfinding skills in this population. She is working with Dr. Ed Merrill.


April Kendrick, M.A.

April is a 5th year
student. interested in preschool playground behavior. April works with Dr. Maria Hernandez-Reif and was the winner of the 2009-2010 university-wide Outstanding Thesis Award.

Susan Loveall, M.A.

Susan is a 4th year student working with Dr. Fran Conners. She is a dual concentration student in Cogitive and Developmental areas. She is studying reading processes in children with intellectual disability.

Jillian Pierucci, M. A.

Jillian is a 3rd year student working with Dr. Ansley Gilpin. She graduated from the University of Texas and is studying young children's conceptions of fantasy and reality and development of executive functions.

Chris O'Brien

Chris is a 3rd year student working with Drs. Ansley Gilpin and Ted Barker. He is interested in behavioral difficulties and their origins. He has worked on the Mobile Youth Survey of inner-city children growing up in poverty.


Jennifer Yang

Jennifer is a 2nd year student working with Dr. Ed Merrill. She comes from the coldest province in China. Jennifer is interested in implicit learning in children with Down syndrome and other intellectual disabilities.

Allyson Phillips

Allyson is a 2nd year student studying intellectual disabilities with Dr. Fran Conners. A native of Arkansas, she is the recipient of a UA Graduate Council Fellowship and an A&S Dean's Merit Assistantship.



Melissa McInnis

Melissa is a 2nd year student interested in cognitive development during the preschool - early school years. Her thesis focuses on executive functioning. She is working with Dr. Ansley Gilpin.

Blake Nielsen

Blake is a 2nd year student working with Dr. Jeffrey Parker. He graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and is studying adolescent social relationships with an emphasis on jealousy.

Erica Jordan, Ph.D.
Erica completed her Ph.D. in 2010 under the direction of Dr. Mary Liz Curtner-Smith. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Psychology at University of West Florida.
